*Please note: for applicants whose correspondence address is outside the EU the fee is £20 higher than the stated amount (excluding Hong Kong candidates).

The Part B / OSPHE MFPH examination

The Faculty randomly allocates candidates to all OSPHE sittings. To ensure as much flexibility as possible, please ensure that the dates you have selected are kept free until a place is allocated in writing. Candidates will be formally notified of their OSPHE allocation soon after the closing date and within three weeks prior to that examination.

*In accordance with our Service Level Agreement with the General Medical Council, the Faculty reserves the right to cancel any of the OSPHE sittings. In the event of such cancellation the Faculty will notify candidates six weeks before the examination date or as soon as practicable of the cancellation.

Closing dates

  • These are given in the current examination timetables and they are absolute.
  • Applications received after 17.00 on the closing date cannot be accepted and no allowance can be made for postal delays or for candidates applying from overseas.
  • Candidates are advised to use recorded or registered delivery and retain proof of posting if there is any doubt that their application will arrive by the closing date.
  • It will normally take several days to check and process entries. Receipt of all applications will be acknowledged. Candidates may telephone the Education Department to confirm receipt of their application if they wish.

 

Withdrawal

  • Candidates withdrawing from an examination after the closing date and up to one week before the examination will normally be charged 50% of the fee.
  • No refund will be made to candidates withdrawing within 7 days of the examination.
  • No refund will be granted without written notice of intention to withdraw.
  • A greater refund may be granted at the discretion of the Academic Registrar under exceptional circumstances.
