Fellowship by exemption

Who is eligible for Fellowship by exemption?

Fellowship by exemption is available for those who are not Faculty members but are judged by the Faculty Board to have the training and qualifications equivalent to that required for Fellowship via membership.

The following groups of non-members have been identified as suitable for Fellowship by exemption:

From the date of admission Fellows are entitled to use the designation FFPH.

 

The application process

Please use the Fellowship by exemption application form unless

  • you have specialist registration with the UKVRPHS via the retrospective portfolio route, in which case, the Faculty will automatically send you application details upon notification by the UKVRPHS that you have achieved specialist registration

    or
  • you have been assessed by the Faculty under Article 14 ( 4) or (5) of the European Specialist Medical Qualifications Order (ESQMO), in which case the Faculty will send you application details upon your recommendation by the Faculty to PMETB.

 

Admission & Fees

You will be asked for an exemption fee of £300, which must be received before your name can be put forward for election to Fellowship.

After the Board approves your election, you will be sent Fellowship and subscription documents with a request to sign a Form of Faith and to pay a registration fee of £250 plus a pro rata monthly proportion of the annual subscription.
