FPH is currently developing a Multi-Source Feedback (MSF) tool, which will become a required part of the assessment process for trainees in public health.

The MSF tool will provide a sample of attitudes and opinions of colleagues on the performance and professional behaviour of the trainee. It will also help to provide data for reflection on performance and gives useful feedback for self-evaluation.

FPH is in the process of assessing various tools already in use by individual Deaneries, with a view to establishing a common tool for use by trainees in 2010.
