Completing higher specialist training
Training in the higher specialist programme in public health is deemed to be complete when:
- The local specialty committee has held a final assessment and issued the RITA Form G stating that the trainee has met all the CCT criteria. This form states the day when the training time is agreed to be complete.
- The trainee has been admitted to Membership in the Faculty. Occasionally a trainee will complete all required training time and leave the programme before passing the Part B MFPH and being admitted into Membership. In this case, they will continue to work through their original deanery for confirmation that the total training programme has been completed once Part B is passed.
Following the award of CCT, trainees are recommended for specialist registration.
