Training Programme Directors in Public Health
The Training Programme Director (TPD) has a key role in managing the specialty training programme. The fundamental role is that of co-ordinator and communicator between trainees, the Postgraduate Deans, the local Specialist Training Committee and the Faculty of Public Health (FPH).
The key roles and responsibilities of a TPD include:
- Administration and management of the training programme(s).
- Participation in the appointment process.
- Overseeing the delivery of the training.
- Monitoring and inspection of posts.
